Case Study
NuVision's Employee Engagement and Culture

Challenge
NuVision, a west-coast credit union, wanted to identify and measure the drivers of employee engagement across eight emotional and functional dimensions.
They also wanted to asses their employees' perception of the company's culture from the perspective of member centricity.
Approach
PeopleMetrics designed a two-pronged survey, with specific questions around various elements of the employee work experience.
These elements included the employee's sense of purpose, teamwork, career opportunities, relationships with management, and rewards.
The questions were intended to identify key drivers of employee engagement and provide employee perspective around the organization's culture.
Outcome
Through the survey, PeopleMetrics determined that empowerment was the #1 driver of employee engagements, while some strengths included belief in NuVision's values, an employee's sense of purpose, and a culture of respect between team members and management.
We also determined some areas for improvement, centered on growth and professional development opportunities.
By listening to the employee feedback, the leadership team worked to highlight the strengths and address the weaknesses.
A greater focus on professional development was taken, as was an emphasis on employee empowerment as the key driver of engagement.
Through listening to its employees on an annual basis, NuVision was able to continuously improve the employee experience as well as positively impact company culture and member experience.
