Challenge
Rutgers University's Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is a successful graduate school with top rankings for many of its programs.
But they wanted to enhance these rankings and reputation even higher, looking for opportunities to better market its program and develop distinctive messaging to offer prospective students what they are looking for when choosing a graduate school.
Approach
PeopleMetrics completed a large-scale study for the Bloustein School, including qualitative research with faculty and external stakeholders and quantitative surveys with faculty, staff, current students, alumni, and prospective students.
Outcome
From the feedback gathered from the survey, Rutgers was able to develop a strategic marketing and communications plan, focusing on the key areas of positive responses while crafting the message.
They were also able to discover, during the onset of COVID, that they were in a prime position to offer expert advice on public health and public policy, enhancing their reputation as experts in the industry.
